Firenze

The train ride to Florence was uneventful.
A taxi to the flat was the easiest way and only took 10 minutes this way. The flat was really nice with 15 foot ceilings made completely from wood and original beams.
I spent the rest of the day orienting myself to the city. I was about a 10 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio (Florence's famous bridge) and about 20 minutes from the main square and Basilica.
I've had a bad cough and pain in my chest since the day before I left Genoa, so I found a pharmacy and got some cough meds. Fingers crossed it does the trick.
As recommended by my AirBnB host, I had dinner in a Trattoria in the square right outside the flat. It was really good although the American couple sitting beside me were complaining about everything. I don't think they travel much :-).
