Cooking School !

Feeling better in the lungs today, the meds are starting to work.  However, my eyes and nose is starting to run and a full on cold has started.  Misery   ... I brought some cold tablets with me so have taken some.  It's pouring rain and I have to walk to the train station which is 15 minutes away. 
I meet the group at the station and are then greeted by our host Lorenzo for our trip to his home in the Chianti Hills for 7 hours of cooking and eating.  The train is only 15 minutes and the drive to the house is another 10 minutes.
Luca and Lorenzo live together in this beautiful house and run this AirBnB experience exculsively.  The both quit their jobs in the fashion industry to do this full time.  You wouldn't know that they do this with a new group every day as they treat you like a friend that they haven't seen in years.  So incredibly friendly, funny, sarcastic and amazing cooks and teachers.  The aren't professionally trained chefs or anything, they use their family recipes and skills learned from their 'Nona's' to create the most incredible pasta, fillings and pesto that I've tasted.
All I can say is that it was a fantastic day !  None of us wanted to leave as you feel like you're leaving home.  If anyone is going to Florence and wants a unique experience, please let me know and I can put you in touch with them.  It's well worth it ... Trust me !
Back to the flat around 5:00pm.
Started repacking my case then headed back out for some dinner.  Found another little Trattoria in the square just outside the flat and had a nice meal and some good conversation with a couple from Edmonton.
Tomorrow I'm off to Sorrento!
